Hello! I'm Patrick Chong, a seasoned investor and trader with nearly 30 years of experience in the capital markets. I'm also proud to be one of the pioneering CFA charterholders in Singapore. Secondly, BSIC's investment process is greatly simplified, but without sacrificing investment rigour. It uses a replacement method of data trend reading instead of the tedious method of ploughing through pages and pages of financial reports.

    Firstly, there is a lot of emphasis on investment psychology, and this is priorized over other technical skills. As the saying goes, having the right investment psychology is almost half the battle won! A lot of examples are used in BSIC to help build up the confidence of a novice investor. Secondly, a proprietary stock selection framework (The STAR Framework) is developed with automation in mind, so that the user can screen the world's top 5% high quality stocks in a matter of minutes. Lastly, this course has a dedicated module on risk and portfolio management. Important concepts such as upside risk management, side-pocketing, pre and post trade compliance, Investment Policy Statement, performance measurement will be introduced. Such contents are largely unavailable in most courses out there.

    You will receive templates, worksheets, and access to exclusive online resources at NO COST to support your learning and investment journey. However, you will have to subscribe to a data service provider in order to activate some of these tools. The data subscription fees range between US$45 to US$60 per year.
